With its outstanding maritime heritage, it is highly appropriate that the North East should once again become a world centre of excellence for marine education and training.

The North East Marine Portal is the focal point for marine education in the North East of England.

Our Vision is to provide information and guidance for anyone who wishes to be involved with the Marine industry.

The North East Marine Portal Project has been sponsored by One NorthEast as part of a new initiative to promote skills, training and education to the marine industry in the North East of England.

As there are several institutions in the North East that provide training and education for the marine industry and with some of the largest companies in the field having their offices in the area, it was apparent that combining efforts to promote the sector will benefit all in the North East, UK and around the world.
